How to Start Believing in Yourself

Why do we always measure our success, worth and value to others accomplishments or failures? Could it be because the world is always more attractive when we see the final product? Maybe; but the truth is that most people will never start their journey because they don’t want to be seen starting at the bottom.

You & I Against the world

In mass media, work environments, culture, etc. we are taught to be hyper-competitive and the “best” of the group, while weeding out the bad. Instead of accepting everyone and becoming a collective; with ideologies like this, is it a surprise that we struggle with our own insecurities? Due to the fear of isolation and rejection? I think not…

The first step to expanding your reality is to discard the tendency to exclude things from possibility– E.E. Cummings

For these specific reasons I feel it is very important to know yourself and know your worth. When you liberate yourself from society and create your own identity you will be free to enjoy your life and appreciate others without feeling intimidated. I am a firm believer that we are the creator of our own destiny and happiness, and with the help of perseverance, consistency and will power there is nothing out of our reach.

Don’t be afraid

The first step is believing in yourself and choosing not to be imprisoned by negativity. Never let someone else’s limitations or perceptions influence what is possible in your life, relationships or personal growth. The only person you should try to be better than, is the person you were yesterday to see if you’ve become better than you were before. It doesn’t matter what others are doing, what matters is what you are doing and the process that got you there!
Take the risk and believe in yourself for once, your future self will thank you so much for it later! I truly hope this post helps you see yourself in a new light. You deserve it!

  1. Gosh I really needed this right now – this year I told myself that I would accomplish so many things and this weekend I was bogged down by all of my failures and that it feels like I haven’t done anything. What I really needed to do is just accept that and go with the flow rather than forcing myself to always succeed in everything I do. Thanks so much for this!

    1. Liz don’t worry, what your going through…we have all “been there” AND believe it or not this mentality still happens to me too! LOL But as long as we don’t wander to long in the land of negativity we are all good! I am so happy that this post helped you realize that you can “go with the flow” and still make positive changes. YOU GO GIRL!!!

  2. What a beautiful read you have here! Confidence should start within us, by believing in ourself. We may make mistakes but we should not stop there. We need to learn to get up and learn from it. We need to believe that we can do better next time. 🙂

    Love, Emz
