My Fitness Holy Grails

I often get asked how I stay so fit and if I have any tips or tricks that I could share for anyone looking to start their own health journey. I personally do not believe in prohibiting myself of anything. However, I do try to eat and do things in moderation. Here are just a few of my holy grails to fitness, staying active and being healthy!

What’s the real deal?

Everything starts in your head

Once you become fully aware that you have the power to change your life just by changing your mind set, everything else will fall into place.

Finding your Motivation

After your mind is on board, create a vision, find inspiration or grab a buddy that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning and get active! I always remind myself that I am fighting for a better me and a better life (Sorry Micky D’s it’s not you…it’s me! Hello WholeFoods), this is the motivation that gets me through my workouts and into a positive mentally.

Goals, Goals, Goals

Determine what you want and why you want it. Once you understand what is important, you can utilize your passion and achieve anything. Always try to set realistic and obtainable goals. That way you see and enjoy the progress that you are making within yourself.

Do not wait until you reach your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud of each step you take toward reaching that goal. As you reach your goals set new ones that help you grow. Even if you never reach all of your goals, you will have gotten significantly farther than you would’ve if you never set any at all.

Focus on your health

Making healthier choices is where you can make or break all your hard work of being active and exercising. It is not about being the best, it’s about being better than you were yesterday. #truestory. Please remember…You do not have to be on a diet to eat healthy. Don’t start a diet that has an expiration date, instead develop a healthy lifestyle and way of eating that will last a life time, while still incorporating the things you love.

But wait there’s MORE

That concludes My Top Fitness Holy Grails part I, but this list could go on for days. Right? Which tip was your favourite?

Would you add any additional tips to this list? Stay turned for the second half you’re not going to want to miss out on the business. I promise!

Rooting for you all the way!

  1. So many key points! I am a dancer so I am always really active and I also work out. I think eating right needs to be a lifestyle change and not a diet for it to really work. Also to have a goal and to be self motivated is so important in getting results! Thanks for sharing, I am so working out a fitness inspired post set to launch on Wednesday. —
