A Special Tea Delivery from teakruthi

Good Morning! I write today’s post from the comfort of my breakfast table with a hot cup of teakruthi’s Cinnamon Chai tea and a splash of rice milk. I know your over there giving me the crazy eye, but don’t knock it until you try it. This blend has a beautiful light and sweet taste without the bitterness of a stronger black tea brew. Yum!

Okay, grab your morning brew or smoothie and lets talk. I feel so obligated to tell you about my recent delivery, from the company teakruthi. If you’re on my mailing list you already know the steaming hot #tea in regards to this opportunity. However, If you’re not on my mailing list join the party, Babe! That’s were I get all personal, share my daily life and just connect with you on another level.

teakruthi Who?

Ok back to our conversation; So you may be wondering who is teakruthi? They are a small grassroots tea company rooted in Sri Lanka where they have their own plantation and the tea leaves are hand plucked in house. YASS Boo! There teas do not have any types of GMO’s, no chemical additives and it’s ethically sourced. What’s not to love right? Not to mention unlike many commercial tea shops these teas come straight from the plantation to our doorstep, instead of harboured tea from warehouse storage like most big chain tea companies, but you can read the rest on the teakruthi website HERE.

For me, the teakruthi brand ensures US tea lovers (or tea addicts) fresh, natural premium teas in it’s optimal state, without any middleman. Which translates into quality teas that won’t break the bank.

My Online Experience

Since teakruthi just launched as a new tea company I was a bit wary about purchasing my tea online. Since I am used to going to my local tea shop, smelling the leaves and mixtures of my choice. So buying online was a tad bit scary for me, but one thing I love about this company is their ample information on each of their teas. Making my buying experience a lot less stressful since the company has a very in-depth commentary on how to do everything from how the brew smells, flavours and even the perfect condiments to make your teakruthi tea that much better. This was a great touch for me, as someone who is new to buying tea online.

The Actual Delivery

Once my purchase was complete I receive the typical emails of shipping and blah blah blah, but I was so surprised that my teas arrive to me in less than a week. Can the church say “AMEN”? AND don’t get me started on their customer service! This company is a complete 10 for me, just based on their company practises, ethics, and willingness to serve their customers.

Upon receiving my package. The company was kind enough to supply me with a cute little tea strainer and tea pamphlets for each of my teas to understand their origin, certificates and brewing info *OK teakruthi! It’s very nice to see a company that wants to educate your fellow tea enthusiast to have the best cup possible, I am definitely here for that! I found these booklets very informative as they recommend what works will with our teas. This is specially great for any tea newbies.

Now on to the good stuff

I ended up ordering the following teas courtesy of teakruthi:

  • Cinnamon Chai: a black ceylon tea with ceylon cinnamon
  • Ceylon Ivory: a pure white ceylon tea
  • Blissful Harmony: a blended mixture of black and white ceylon teas

*What is ceylon tea: Ceylon tea comes from Sri Lanka, a small island in the Indian Ocean named ”Ceylon” by British colonists. Ceylon refers to the geographical region in which the tea plant (Camellia sinesis) is grown, not to a specific type of tea. Green and black teas are grown in Sri Lanka and may improve your health and prevent illness- Carolyn Robbins

This would probably be a great time to explain why I chose these teas, however I will go into greater detail about each tea in their own review so that all the information is linked in one exact location. Stay on the look out for the Cinnamon Chia, Blissfull Harmony & Ceylon Ivory tea reviews in the near future.

Keep on sipping pretty!
